Description
Meeting WACE Requirements 2021 Seminars

The School Curriculum and Standards Authority (the Authority) is providing learning area specific seminars during Term 1 2021 to assist schools in meeting WACE requirements in 2021.

Outcome
The seminar will focus on meeting WACE requirements for 2021 relating to:
* course outline
* assessment outline
* assessment tasks
* marking keys
* standards
* Authority moderation processes for 2021.
Event notes
Attendance is not compulsory but highly recommended for:
* schools that are offering a course for the first time in 2021
* schools that are reintroducing a course
* teachers delivering one or more WACE courses for the first time in 2021 (e.g. graduate teachers, teachers who have not previously taught Year 11 or 12, teachers whose past experience has been interstate or overseas)
* new school leaders.

Schools are responsible for any costs incurred (e.g. teacher relief, accommodation, travel) as a result of attendance at these seminars. Participants must bring a digital device such as a laptop or notebook (a mobile phone will not be adequate) to complete online surveys and access the Authority website during the seminar.
Participants are advised to have available a hard copy or electronic copy of the 2021 WACE manual.
